Why a Yacht in Central Texas?
Buda is a long way from the water. That's sort of the point.
Yachties started from a simple observation: the best meals almost never happen in a dining room. They happen outside - at a picnic table, after a game, with a cold drink sweating in the evening heat and somebody's kid running past with a pickleball paddle. Nobody needs white tablecloths for that. They need a really, really good burger.
So we built a truck around it. The O.G. is a seasoned smash patty with melty American cheese, romaine, tomato, housemade pickles and white onion on a toasted bun. The BBQ Brisket Melt is smoked chopped brisket with pickled red onions, sliced pear and melty cheddar, which sounds like a lot until you eat one. Sides are four dollars and every one of them is ours: Yacht Tots, potato salad, kale pasta salad, cottage cheese, a cup o' pickles. The seasonal dessert is homemade and always rotating, so ask what we're featuring.
Then we found our spot. RacFit in Buda gave us something a gravel lot never could - eight tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, two fitness rooms, live music on the lawn, and the Courtside Cantina pouring cold beer a few steps from our window. We're the kitchen for a whole social club, and it shows up in how people eat here. They order, they sit, they stay.
Ask about the Yacht Sauce. And if you're feeling brave, the Bro Rogan - two O.G. burgers used as the buns, a quarter-pound of chopped brisket in the middle, jalapeños, Bevo sauce and Yachties BBQ. It is not a sensible sandwich. It has never once been ordered by somebody who regretted it.
